Uithoek Nature Park is situated in close proximity to Fouriesburg in the Eastern Free State. It is located on a beautiful farm with loads of greenery, hectares of land and various activities such as rock climbing, hiking, zip lining, game viewing, bird watching, fishing, 4×4 trails and abseiling.

Uithoek offers ample campsites equipped with power supplies, braai facilities and cold water taps and modern shared ablutions. Other accommodation options include basic rooms or luxury chalets with beautiful views of the farm and its fauna and flora.

Activities

For the experienced abseiler – bring your own equipment. Anchors in place and total drop approximately 50m.

For the experienced rock climber – bring your own equipment. No specific location demarcated. Climb where you feel comfortable!

Route follows the jeep track of the 4×4 route. It takes approximately two hours to the top and back down to camp. A map is available from your hosts.

Uithoek offers two dams for fishing purposes which holds both Carp and Bass.

Test the sturdiness of your 4×4 (low range needed) on our trail – duration approximately 1.5 hours.

Uithoek offers abundant bird life with popular species Kalkoenibis, Koningrooibekkie, Mahem, Kuifkophoutkapper and Paradysvlieevanger often sighted.

Black Wildebeest, Springbok, Ostrich, Gemsbok and Zebra are some of the game you can view at Uithoek.

All bikes are welcome – explore the resort on your bike or take the 4×4 route (approximately 2 hours by bike).

    From Bethlehem, follow the Fouriesburg road for 35 km’s and turn left at the S190/Uithoek sign. Follow the gravel road for 3.5km’s. The Uithoek gate is located on your right hand side at the sandstone wall with game fence. On arrival call Anne-Marie on 062 505 6854 to open the gate.
